Frequently Asked Questions
What are restricted access pages?
Restricted access pages are visible only to logged in users. They may also be restricted further by user group; for example teams may have pages with private content that is viewable only by the team.
Only pages that you have the permissions to see are shown on the menus. Once you log in, for example, you will notice that "Rosters" appears as an additional option in the Resources section.
Restricted access pages have a padlock icon next to their name in the menu.
Who do I ask to get something on the site changed?
Talk to someone on the web team.
If appropriate, it is also possible for any user to edit pages and content. You just need the right permissions set. The interface is quite simple, and we can provide you with training in anything you have trouble with. Ask one of the web team for more information.
Is it really safe for me to enter my details online?
No contact details will be posted to the web generally. Your details will be avilable for logged in users only. New user accounts have to be approved by an administrator before they are activated, so only church members will have access to the directory.
We will make every effort to ensure your details are kept safe.
Of course we can't make an absolute guarantee. There is always a risk that someone changes visibility settings of a page accidentally, or uploads a directory to the wrong place. If you are concerned about your details (e.g. for security reasons, you're a spy etc), or want to be excluded from the church directory while still getting emails, then contact someone from the web team and we'll talk about it.
